Meet Roxanne.
Functional Skincare Specialist & Holistic Health Practitioner
Hi ! I’m Roxanne and I teach people how to manage their health and beauty through diet and lifestyle. As a Licensed Esthetician and Certified Health Practitioner my holistic approach combines modern modalities along with ancient healing knowledge through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
I grew up on Long Island in the 80’s before technology & modern conveniences. I started my career in the beauty industry doing nails and educating for a local beauty school and professional brand. As my career evolved into a corporate leadership role so did the demanding work schedule along with loads of travel. I ran on a steady stream of caffine and adrenaline. It's no surprise that by my 40’s I experienced complete adrenal burnout. My body was shouting at me for so many years but I never listened!
I was forced to make a change or be doomed to a life of pain and premature aging. It was my journey back to health and wellness that inspired 5 Element Healing & Esthetics.
With the proper guidance & tools we can control our health and live long happy lives! Let me help you!
About
5 Element Healing & Esthetics is a holistic approach to longevity, wellness & beauty
At 5 Element Healing and Esthetics, I partner with clients to identify imbalances in the body, which show up as signs of skin rashes, acne, fatigue, brain fog, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, headaches, insomnia, pain & inflammation, etc. While these signs may be common they are not normal and are your body's way of communicating that it needs your attention and support. Together, we create a customized diet, skincare & lifestyle plan based on YOUR constitution and YOUR condition and most importantly YOUR goals. This integrative approach to beauty & wellness is not a “quick fix” or a “fad diet”. There is no one-size-fits-all in my treatments. Each program and service is unique to YOU and aims to restore balance, increase energy (Qi) and create a state of fluidity. Health is beauty!

Utilize the 5 Element Theory
What is 5 Element Theory?
The 5 Element Theory in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a framework that describes how the human body & nature function through 5 elements: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Each element corresponds to each season, specific organs, emotions, colors, flavors and physiological processes creating a cycle of balance and transformation. This theory ( along with Yin/Yang concept) is used to identify imbalances in the body, guiding treatments to restore harmony.
The human body works hard to constantly repair and rebalance itself to achieve this state of harmony. Ideally we should have a perfect balance of heat, cold, yin, yang, Qi (energy) blood and bodily fluids. When in balance there is free flow between all the vital organs, skin and eyes are vibrant, sleep is deep and restorative, our systems are working to protect, replenish, detoxify, our hormones are balanced leaving us feeling a sense of wellness. However modern living, stress, diet, medications, environment and toxins can quickly throw the delicate system off balance. Our culture today has us believe that when we get sick, experience pain or discomfort or something is off, medicine looks like a pill, injection, or surgery. We have simply forgotten or maybe never learned the ancient remedies and nourshiment our body needs. Healing naturally takes time. By understanding how these elements interact through cycles of nourishing and regulation we can address both physical and emotional health issues holistically.
